Master of Wine, what does it mean? 

Master of Wine is a qualification issued by The Institute of Masters of Wine, in the United Kingdom. This qualification of Master of Wine is generally regarded in the wine industry as the highest achievement. Their objectives are :

 

 

Carl Bird, Opimian Wine Concierge  

Carl has been a fixture at Opimian for over 15 years. He started out as a member, then took over the Northwest Territories (well, Opimian’s chapter there) as Area Representative. In 2015, he moved to Montreal - his hometown - and joined the team at the head office as Area Representative Liaison and Opimian Wine Concierge.
